Rule 1
Permanent List Record
Once an item has been added to a memberās list, it is treated as part of that list permanently and may not be removed. This rule does not apply to swaps, trades, the Remove From Your List rule, the Remove From Someone Elseās List rule, or any other rule that expressly allows removal. Outside of those specific exceptions, the list may only increase and must never decrease.
Rule 1A
Childrenās Approval Condition
Where a child adds an item to their list, that item remains subject to parental approval. If a parent or guardian does not approve the item, it may be removed. Once approved, the item becomes permanent under Rule 1.
Rule 2
Automatic List Capture by Shared Content
If a member sends a link, image, video, message, product, screenshot, or any other form of content that causes another member to view or become aware of an item, and the recpient sends the 'On Da List' video, then that item may be added to the senderās list unless the sender clearly states āNot for my listā within that same message.
Rule 3
No Reverse Use of Exposure Rule
A member may not deliberately send content to another person and then attempt to enforce the list rule against the recipient for seeing it. Responsibility sits with the sender, not the recipient. The recipient is under no obligation to disclaim or respond unless they are the one sending the content.
Rule 4
Missed Spending Deadline
Where a spending deadline or target has been formally set and is not met in full, the Admin may add any number of items, of any type or value, to the relevant list for a 24-hour period without restriction.
Rule 5
Attempting to Bend or Exploit the Rules
Any attempt to manipulate, avoid, sidestep, twist, exploit, or unfairly reinterpret the rules may trigger a compliance penalty. In such cases, the member will have 48 hours to add items totalling £10,000,000 to their own list.
Rule 6
Failure to Comply with Rule 5
If the required £10,000,000 in items is not added within the 48-hour period stated in Rule 5, Rule 4 will apply automatically and the Admin may add items at their full discretion.
Rule 7
No Spending Cap
There is no financial limit on what may be added to a list. Members may add any item they want, regardless of quantity, category, or total combined value.
Rule 7A
Childrenās Spending Approval
For children, Rule 7 applies only where the relevant parent or guardian approves the item or items concerned.
Rule 8
No Re-Adding Traded, Swapped, or Removed Items
Where an item has been traded, swapped, removed from the game, removed using the Remove From Your List rule, or removed using the Remove From Someone Elseās List rule, that same item may not be re-added as a duplicate or re-entry unless the rules expressly allow it. In such cases, Rule 1 does not prevent the removed item from staying removed.
Rule 9
Accurate Item Entry Requirement
All items must be added through the pageās Add Item feature using the required fields, including the item name, item type, price, and link. Links must be correct and should point to the intended item wherever possible. Members are responsible for ensuring that the entered details are accurate enough for the item to be clearly identified and enforced.
Rule 10
Unavailable Items and Equivalent Replacement
If an item becomes unavailable, discontinued, out of stock, or otherwise unobtainable, it may only be removed once an equivalent or appropriate replacement item has first been added to the list. The unavailable item must remain on the list until that replacement has been properly added.
Rule 11
Direct Item Addition Through the Page
A member does not need to send content to another person in order for an item to be added to their list. Items may be added directly by the member using the pageās built-in Add Item feature, which records the item details within the scheme.
Rule 12
āDa Listā Video Confirmation Rule
Where a member messages another person about an item, that item will only be capable of being enforced through that conversation if the recipient responds with the āDa Listā video. Without that response, the message alone does not activate the rule.
Rule 13
No List Reduction by Technicality
A member may not attempt to remove, void, invalidate, or reduce an item by arguing wording, timing, spelling errors, jokes, sarcasm, or āI didnāt mean itā after the fact, unless the Admin expressly accepts that explanation.
Rule 14
Admin Interpretation Is Final
In any dispute, uncertainty, technicality, or grey area, the Adminās interpretation of the rules, item meaning, intent, and enforceability will be final.
Rule 15
No Avoidance by Deletion
Deleting a message, post, link, image, or item reference after it has been seen or recorded does not prevent it from being added to the list or enforced under the scheme.
Rule 16
No Avoidance by Private Clarification
A member cannot later claim that an item ādid not countā through a separate private explanation unless the Admin formally accepts that clarification.
Rule 17
Duplicate Prevention
The same exact item should not appear multiple times on the same list unless it is clear that multiple quantities were intentionally added or the Admin decides that multiple entries are valid.
Rule 18
List Visibility Does Not Reduce Validity
Just because an item is visible to other family members does not weaken, cancel, reduce, or invalidate its standing as an active list item.
Rule 19
Failure to Respond
A memberās failure to reply, object, or correct something immediately does not prevent an item from being treated as validly added where the rules otherwise allow it.
Rule 20
Rule Changes
These rules are not fixed permanently and may be amended, expanded, replaced, or updated by the Admin at any time, with or without prior notice.
